Aww... That's adorable. Have you ever heard of the Palmetto Tortoise beetle (Hemisphaerota cyanea)? I think that bug is also very cute!

That's a pity! :( Well, they don't live near where I live either, but I've decided that if I ever get a bug as a pet, it will be that one.
Actually, what's interesting is that they defend themselves from predators by secreting a kind of oil from their tarsi and sticking to whatever surface they're on. A study was done, and it was found that they can withstand pulls of up to 2 grams, when their body mass is about 13.5 milligrams!
