At flirst glance the painting looks unfinished, but the artist did mention this so I will take that into consideration. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>

Taking the 'work in progress' into my mind I look over the picture, letting my eyes linger on things like the overall shape and movement of the painting. I find this fascinating; the shape and movement caught my eye before anything else. Interesting. I have never had a painting attract my attention like that, immediately to the shape and movement. Brilliant.

Continuing my initial scan of the picture I immediately notice the 'character' with the body of a stringed instrument, a cello or possibly bass. I take my time looking at this instrument, admiring it's mechanical workings and legs of a horse. This 'character' I find aesthetically appealing all around. Yet again the artist shows me something I've never seen before and this is very pleasing.

As I continue to look across the painting I admire little things such as the vibrant, warm colors and the shine on the brass instruments. The painting is visually appealing to say the least, that's for sure.

Overall I like everything about this painting, especially the stringed instrument. It is already very well done and I am looking forward to seeing the finished piece!
