A fantastic walk into the burlesque macabre. The stitching over the face is exquiste and the chessboard ruff is inspired. I also adore the to little denizens that live in it's wig ready to spread their own brand of chaos. May I also add that even though the hair looks amazing, it does seem a little flat as compared to the flamboyancy of the rest of the outfit. Perhaps some whisps, candy flosslike / bird's nest, of similiar hues to the flesh could help. Overall, this is a stunning piece of work.
it reminds me of something i'm planning tomorrow...personally, i'd make the hair more.. lighter, with different kind of texture, instead of the brush strokes but .. that's me, i've noticed you do different things with the hair. may be a little more volume in the dolls but since it's not finished i guess it's okay (: however, i really like it.
A wow. This isn't finished? Ha. It's hard to imagine what more you'll do with it considering how amazing it already is. The only thing I could think to suggest would perhaps be to put some small design on her corset, perhaps farther illustrating the battle going on upwards. Then again, I rather like it plan too so...
This is amazing! I'm too lazy to do a full critique, but I guess for me a weak point would be her hand. It doesn't seem as strongly defined as the rest of the painting. Similar with the right side of the hair and the angel, though that could have been glare getting in the way. Also from far away, the hair looks great, but a little closer and it seems to contrast/clash stylistically with the rest of the painting. But Those were all secondary observations, this is an awesome painting.
Goodness, you are AWESOME with the collars. I've been wanting to do a piece with a the figure wearing a collar like that, then I see your work, and I just quit lol. I absolutely love and admire your imagination.
Looking marvelous so far! I love how blatantly creepy it is! As for suggestions, I simply want to see more color in the hair - or at least shading. Just something so that it doesn't appear so flat, but perhaps you were already planning on doing that
You're so unpredictible with the titles... haha, I so love that of you~ I praise your technique and ideas. The chess table pattern for the neck frills is an awesome touch. the characters of the whole piece are great, I love how you managed to alude to the soul's polarity with such sublime symbols I'm a fan youf surreal work!
