OH MY GOD. where do I BEGIN? first of all, the emotion is amazing. i myself, I've never been afraid of clowns, but i know lots of people who are... and I'm sure this could make even them feel bad. there's lots of originality in this- usually in the creepy clown pictures, the clowns are the ones giving pain, making people cry, doing evil things. to see one as a victim is a very nice and interesting change of pace. i also love the reflection in her eyes. of the figure (a man, i think). its delightfully grotesque without any use of blood and i would love to see his face right now. it has all the right combinations of feeling, horror, sadness and insanity in my opinion. it has sexuality without it being stupid or poorly thought out, which is a huge plus because its not very often that you see that. there ARE few things that are a little off, however. the proportions of the face dont seem right. i dont know if thats intentional, maybe it was to really bring out the 'clownness' of her, but its still something. the tear is nice, and full of feeling, and three dimentional...... but its off. that isnt how a tear would fall down the face. there ARE a few problems, like with all art, but i really love this piece. bravo, and dont stop drawing- I'll definately be following your art from now on! ~Emil M.
Vision This scared me helpless. I've never seen a clown trafficed. I've always thought of clowns doing the trafficing. The big eyes and the tear just left me in horrified empathy. Very impactful.
Originality I've havent' seen this done. Mostly I thought clowns would do the suffering than be suffered. Thumbs up.
Technique I think the eyes are a litle too far from the nose. From the look on..[can I call her "Her"?] Her nose, it's small and the eye sockets are too far from the nose, leaving a bag of skin between eye ad nose. At least, that's what I think. Also, her lips are too big. they are literally against the bottom of her nose and unless she's holding her lip up, I don't think it should be that big...
Impact This will/has scared people on the thumbnail. Which attracted me to it. It is scary and Nuff is said about the object in her mouth.
Overall, very impressive work, I like the shiny details like on the object, the tear and her eyes and I like the gray and red theme. I may have to start watching you.
