I'd like to do something similar. Do you know how to do this using Gimp?

=P I just downloaded and installed it, is quite nice and have lot of features. Just search on youtube how to make animation on gimp, you'll find a few videos, this for example [link] on youtube can find anything, yet don't know if you can make smooth transactions as in Flash :)

Yes, it's the closest to photoshop I found, and free! Try also Inkscape for vector art.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check that video. I tried to make a gif, but the quality of the image is crap. Now I was trying to use the sequencer that comes in Blender (it's for 3D and animation, if you don't know it, you should definitely try this program [link]) but at the moment it's just hitting my head against a wall...

My pleasure! The first in four years you are here... I'm priviledged to be part of it :)

But careful with blender, it can change your religious beliefs! It's complicated to use, but I'm sure in no time you will be able to create something that blows my mind :D

I'll let you know about my anal eye ;), still in progress

yes, I know, I'll start to believe that my consciousness is the true biblical God and I have all the power over gravity wind fire and all the stuff, at least Maya made me believe it, look a short movie after 3 weeks of tutorials, made after a mechanism from a painting of mine [link] then I left the country of a short time, forgot everything, and never started again for serious :(

I actually like it better when images don't perfectly superpose! Gives the animation more dynamism

It's an amazing piece, I'm sure your aware, but this is far more interesting to me than the still of it finished. I would say it's not terribly instructive though (Slower framerate would be good, and it seems to miss early steps that would be great to see). I'd say I'm more interested in the final effect of the movement created by overlaying the various stages.

be careful, @ long exposure can cause irreversible brain damage, it's one of my fail projects to produce a Manchurian Candidates deviant army with subliminal messages, but still is potentially dangerous :P

That's so crazy how it transforms from a sketch into when it's finish.

Lol, I'd never be able to do that. It blows my mind.

Excellent work. :)
