I was "just in theme" of Seraphims, but on another (martial) way

In a way this piece scares me. At first it seems, cheerful and bright from the way the sun and moon intimately connect. To the cute children of the seraph.
However on closer inspection you see this pieces' second face in the eyes. They appear out of place at first but soon start to show that this angel is not all grace but is in fact a medusa hidden behind her vale of venus. While everything smiles, it seems also sad. The mystery seems to always come back to the eyes which leave no real clue of their true intentions. Even the sun seems in on it.
It is hard to understand this painting which is what could make me look at it for hours. Much of the alchemical art is like this, with the meaning hidden in the corner like a very well done Wheres Wally puzzle.
I find it intriguing and feel it deserves to share the title of a Dead Can Dance song of a similar nature.
The moon resting on the woman's head, gently kissing the sun on the cheek provides great imagery. The female figure resting so gently on the top of the world, with her delicate face and nurturing presence definitely shines through in this piece. When she peels back her robe and shows the several winged creatures of varied emotion fly towards the screen, it really paints an interesting picture.
Overall this is just a very beautiful and artistic piece. Well done.
