I consider you to be a much better detail artist than myself, so giving you advice is a bit of a joke.

But if I were to suggest one thing, it would be this:

The skin of the woman I believe needs to be warmed up a bit. Maybe just on the parts that are closest to the viewer.
The bio part of her seems to be too cold and faded in comparison to the mechanical alien tentacles.

I can see that you don't want to lose the cool colors that help set the mood of the dark mysterious lab that she is surrounded by.

Maybe a more intense light upon the highlights that the work light is giving off?

But, you're the artist, and you should do what makes you happy. You're doing a great job.
What do you think?

Luv this piece! Beautiful artwork! Beautiful idea! Beautiful execution! BEAUTIFUL!!!
The flesh & machine are an awesome combination! Plus the added underwater sea-life aspect of it makes it even more alluring!.....Only thing that I see as far as critiquing is the soft feel of the entire thing! Takes away from the crispness of robotics. Perhaps ur intention was to give it a muddy, forgotten look. But, subject would have pop'd into our world, ALIVE, if brought the realistic components forward!.......other thing I noticed, is her breast: Normally it would fall to the side when a woman is on her back. Is it the water that's making them float back up to a perkier position? Dunno; 1st thing that actually popped out at me! =)

I absolutely Love this piece tho! And I'm one who feels that our imperfect world is beautiful cuz of it! And thats y I LOVE art! Our minds aren't perfect & so neither should our aim at art be perfection! Its the idea that's magnificent! And u outdid yourself here my friend! =)

I think I like it better than the one where she's activated.
The old school mechanics are very nice and I also prefer the tentacles to the fishtail.
