The Valley of Angels in progress by borda The Valley of Angels in progress by borda
a psychedelic one, inspired by the landscapes from the movie "What Dreams May Come", a little bit of Van Gogh and the inner travellers :)

I saw the movie when I was around 8-9 years old. The painting and landscapes were so beautiful. If only Heaven would be like that.

I though of that movie when I just saw it! I like your "new" impressionistic touch. It looks very plastic, like you can mould it with your fingers... or even chew it

"Psychodelic one" :] Incredible colours, but I love the most this light effects. Combination of bright and deeply dark side.

I like how it's so surreal on the outside, with the colors and drippings and horns coming out of the sunbeams XD <3

The only thing that negatively caught my attention was that brown/orange strip that is very stripey. It seems sort of lost in limbo, all alone in its abstract stripeyness. There isn't anything else around made out of simply straight segments of color, and I think it's a little bit distracting.

Other than that though... gorgeous! :D

Fabulous colors, I like the contrast btw the straight lines and the abstract curvilinear shapes in the foreground. Your use of color invokes Van Gogh, but this is more precise and detailed than his. Very psychedelic sun and blue-melty tree. (I dig psychedelic stuff and bright colors) Also I especially like the swirls captured in the sun's rays, that is very Van Gogh ... altogether lovely
