Personally critiques are a bad idea. It may be the semantics a associate to the word. But critiques are opinions that compete for authority over someone else’s work. As a rebellious spirit I detest authority. In a world ruled by the heart we don’t need to be minded. “Become the change you want to see in the world” a quote by Gandhi.
Well so you want to be criticized!!! Would you settle for shared insights instead? What if I just respond to what you stated with your image? Ultimately critical comments can only exist after somebody actually has done something!!!! Any expression has an infinity of possible responses, opinions, and analytic/academic assessment.
Also critiques have a negative stigma as if an artist has to have god critiques before he or she may be considered great! Who is the lord of the arts to assume such egotistical position???? And why should we submit to that????
OK!!! So now let’s get to the actual critique!!!
This is a hell of a cool shot! The capture guaranties that no one misses the point! And the kitty’s face in the context of the story is worth a million!!!!! The lady holding the kitty perfectly frames and embraces him with love and sweetness which makes his facial expression even more powerful for the story.
This is a great photojournalistic feature shot image that would make any paper happy to have published in the community age!!!!!!!
What do you think?
